A quarterback's ability to deliver catchable balls to his receivers is a key factor in their overall success. The past week offers some stark examples of how a quarterback change breathed new life into a team's air corps (Drake Maye) … and a few others where questionable quarterback play (Will Levis, Deshaun Watson) was a major obstacle Those offenses are actually getting going this season.

As fantasy managers look to improve their teams via the trade market, keep an eye on these team dynamics.

Here are some players whose stats are trending up (or down) based on their Week 6 performances.

Fantasy football players to buy for Week 7

WR DeMario Douglas, New England Patriots: Douglas immediately played alongside rookie QB Drake Maye and had six receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown – after starting the day with Jacoby Brissett with 19 receptions, 153 yards and no scores in five games. Now that Douglas has an NFL-caliber QB under center, his fantasy value increases.

RB Isaac Guerendo, San Francisco 49ers: Jordan Mason filled in admirably for Christian McCaffrey, but suffered a shoulder injury in Week 6. Guerendo stepped in and rushed for 99 yards on 10 carries. The Niners typically get the most out of their backs, which makes Guerendo attractive in the short term.

RB Tyler Goodson, Indianapolis Colts: With Jonathan Taylor sidelined, the Colts asked Trey Sermon to start for a second straight game. He averaged less than two yards per carry, giving Goodson his most extensive action of the season (65 total yards, 12 touches). He's worth picking up when he faces the Miami Dolphins in Week 7.

WR Tank Dell, Houston Texans: Dell struggled in the first three games as he wasn't quite at 100%. He's healthy now and with Nico Collins out of the picture for a while, Dell sits second on the depth chart behind Stefon Diggs. In Week 6, he scored his first touchdown of the season, with more to come.

WR Devaughn Vele, Denver Broncos: Vele made eight appearances in Week 1 but suffered a rib injury and has not been seen since. When Josh Reynolds was placed on injured reserve, Vele was given a second chance and made the most of it. The 26-year-old rookie is a solid option in deep PPR leagues.

Fantasy football players are sold for Week 7

WR Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans: Ridley was targeted eight times in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts but was blanked. Poor quarterback play in Nashville contributed to Ridley's downfall, but he managed just two catches and 14 yards in the last three games. He is not worth a spot on the fantasy roster at this point.

QB Deshaun Watson, Cleveland Browns: We waited and waited and waited, but Watson just can't turn it around. He's played all six games, his offensive line is starting to get healthy, but it's the same dink-and-dunk offense. It's also part of the coaching and plan, but Watson is one of the worst fantasy quarterbacks, and he won't be climbing the charts any time soon.

RB Alexander Mattison, Las Vegas Raiders: After Zamir White was sidelined and then suffered an injury, Mattison got his chance to be the star cow. He has struggled greatly in the last two games, managing just 2.4 yards per attempt on 29 carries. It doesn't help that he went up against the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers defenses, but he hasn't shown any signs of breaking out.

RB Travis Etienne, Jacksonville Jaguars: Etienne has a bad shoulder so injury could be a factor, but he's just not effective at the moment. Tank Bigsby appears to have unofficially passed the former first-round pick on the depth chart. Don't drop Etienne, but he's bubbling, and bubbling hard.

TE Isaiah Likely, Baltimore Ravens: He probably had a great game in Week 1, but since then he has just nine receptions and 96 yards with two scores. Mark Andrews looked his old self in Week 6 and will likely fight Charlie Kolar for crumbs again.
