10 questions for Alex Cobb: Disney movies, baseball rumors, and growing up as a Dodgers bat boy in Florida

DETROIT – Alex Cobb returns to the mound for the first time in more than a month on Wednesday when he takes the ball for Game 3 of the American League Division Series between the Guardians and Tigers at Comerica Park.

Cobb, who turned 37 on Monday, has gone 11 years between playoff starts after playing in the 2013 postseason with the Rays, where they eliminated Cleveland in the 2013 wild-card game. He moved to the Guardians at the trade deadline after missing most of the season rehabbing due to hip and shoulder injuries.

Cobb made three regular-season starts for the Guards, including six perfect innings against the Pirates on September 1 at Progressive Field. Cobb, a former minor league teammate of manager Stephen Vogt and backup coach Craig Albernaz, battled blister and fingernail problems to put himself in position to help Cleveland gain promotion.

Back in September, during the Guardians' trip to Dodger Stadium, Cobb sat down with cleveland.com for a quick question-and-answer session. Learn more about today's starting pitcher below.
