• Deebo Samuel had the highlight of the game for the 49ers when he caught a pass from quarterback Brock Purdy and took it 76 yards to the house. Samuel finished the game with three receptions for 102 yards.
• George Kittle celebrated his 31st birthday on Wednesday by securing victory with a great game. The All-Pro tight end caught five passes for 58 yards and two touchdowns.
• Jordan Mason finished the game with 73 yards on nine carries, but left the game with a shoulder injury. Rookie Isaac Guerendo stepped up in Mason's absence, rushing for 99 yards on 10 carries, with 76 yards on a run late in the fourth quarter helping secure the win.
• In addition to Mason, the 49ers also lost rookie safety Malik Mustapha to an ankle injury. And at the end of the game, new kicker Matthew Wright made a tackle and appeared to hurt his shoulder. He was seen walking to the locker room with trainers before the end of the game.
