3 Last Minute Fantasy Football Streaming WR with Nico Collins on IR

The top wide receiver in fantasy football, Nico Collins of the Texans, was just placed on IR. That puts fantasy managers in the awkward position of trying to fill a hole at the last minute via the waiver wire.

No one with waivers will replace Collins. He excelled in fantasy, averaging 21.3 points per game in PPR leagues. This production made him the most sought after fantasy player. Now we have to dig deep to find a replacement.

Here are some players to consider starting this week (and possibly longer) that are still available in many leagues.

Jalen Tolbert, Cowboys, 77% available

With Brandin Cooks injured, Tolbert saw 10 targets in Week 5 and converted those into 7 catches for 87 yards with a TD, totaling 21.7 points in PPR leagues. Cooks is on IR and will also be out for Week 6, giving Tolbert plenty of opportunity to build on that in the Cowboys' pass-happy offense.

This week, Tolbert faces a Lions defense that is allowing the sixth-most points to opposing wide receivers. The total score for the game is set at 52 points at FanDuel Sportsbook, meaning Vegas is in for a high-scoring affair.

With CeeDee Lamb drawing most of the opposing defense's attention, you can expect a hefty dose of Tolbert on offense.

Josh Downs, Colts, 67% available

Downs has emerged as a breakout star since Joe Flacco took over as the Colts' starting QB, posting 22.2 and 15.9 points over the last two weeks, respectively. He's also seen 21 targets in that time, meaning Flacco is looking his way and they're hitting quickly.

It's unclear whether Flacco will retain the starting spot when Richardson returns from injury. If so, Downs is a good flex option. If he doesn't, his production will likely decline. But for a week it's worth an encore.

Michael Wilson, Cardinals, 88% available

Wilson has become an important part of the Cardinals' offense, playing almost as much and seeing almost as many goals as presumptive No. 1 Marvin Harrison Jr. Wilson has seen 22 goals in the last three games and has totaled 33.0 points in achieved in the PPR leagues.

Equally important, Wilson has a 73% catch rate compared to Harrison's 52%. Wilson and QB Kyler Murray have developed a more consistent connection than Murray and Harrison, and he should see a lot more opportunities this week against the Packers.
