Jax Taylor sorts out custody and filing documents with matrimonial court

Jax Taylor is setting the record straight with a recently filed lawsuit related to his divorce from Brittany Cartwright.

The valley The actor responded to Brittany's divorce filing in August on September 26 and pro E! NewsHe appeared to be filling out documents indicating that Brittany would receive sole custody of her son, Cruz Michael Cauchi. In another part of the document, Jax stated that he was never legally married to the Kentucky native.

Now a representative for Jax is clarifying the matter.

“Jax and Brittany have long since resolved all matters related to custody of Cruz and will continue to work together privately for the benefit of their son, which remains their primary concern,” Jax's rep said in a statement The daily dish. “While Jax made errors in completing forms that are typically made by trained legal professionals, these errors will be promptly corrected.”

Brittany and Jax are still legally married, although Brittany has filed for divorce from the former SUR bartender.

Per TMZ, Brittany filed in Los Angeles on Aug. 26, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. She gave the date of their separation as January 25th.

Brittany announced the couple's split on the February 29 episode of her and Jax's podcast. When reality hits Jax and Brittany.

“Jax and I are taking some time off…,” she said on the show. “I won’t go into too many details now as it’s still very difficult to talk about and I’ll be taking things day by day.”
