Sean 'Diddy' Combs' arrest leaves some music industry top brass losing sleep, lawyer says: report

As allegations mount against hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, a report on Thursday quoted a top lawyer as claiming that several music industry top figures are being sued over fears they could be involved in the lawsuits against Sean “Diddy.” Combs are called, losing sleep.

The top lawyer reportedly said that prominent accomplices of Sean “Diddy” Combs will be named in a new wave of accuser lawsuits. He added that “the names will shock you.”

“Many people at the highest levels, including artists, executives, managers and others, are not sleeping well right now,” attorney Bryan Freedman told Page Six. He said those who knowingly permitted or encouraged the behavior while remaining silent should be concerned.

Meanwhile, a music industry insider told Page Six: “The people who worked very closely with Diddy are certainly terrified, and God knows what they were.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs is awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. The 54-year-old mogul has been locked up at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since pleading not guilty to federal charges on September 17.

It is alleged that “Diddy” used his “power and prestige” to induce female victims to engage in drugged, elaborately staged sexual performances with male sex workers in events known as “Freak Offs.” Other alleged victims have already filed lawsuits against Combs alleging sexual assault.

Combs has pleaded not guilty to conspiracy and sex trafficking charges. His lawyer said he was innocent and would fight to clear his name.

According to the Associated Press, an attorney said Tuesday that he is representing 120 accusers who have made allegations of sexual misconduct against Sean “Diddy” Combs. The lawyer said he expects lawsuits to be filed next month, with most lawsuits expected to be filed in New York and Los Angeles.

Combs is one of the most well-known music managers, producers and performers in hip-hop. He won three Grammys and worked with artists such as Notorious BIG, Mary J. Blige, Usher, Lil Kim, Faith Evans and 112.

He founded Bad Boy Records in 1993, the influential clothing line Sean John, a vodka brand and the television channel Revolt. In June this year he sold his shares in the latter company.
