Arkansas suffered a 21-17 loss to the No. 24 Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday and was a 6.5-point underdog. It was the Razorbacks' three turnovers that cost them the game, even though they outscored the Aggies 379-297 in total yards and had the ball for just over 30 minutes.

Tips and predictions for Tennessee in Arkansas

forecast

Tennessee 42, Arkansas 35

Money line

HAPPEN.

Tennessee should take the win as the better, more rested team that can be covered as a -550 favorite, but a team that heavily favored is never worth the risk of betting. Instead, bet on the spread and/or the total.

Against the spread

LEAN ARKANSAS +13.5 (-105).

The Razorbacks' offense is averaging 495 yards per game and scoring 35.8 points per game. That will be enough to keep Arkansas in this game. Tennessee looked human in the win against Oklahoma, and I expect this Arkansas offense to hit the Vols in the mouth on the way out of the gates to cover.

Arkansas has also covered the spread in each of its two games against ranked teams this year.

This is a disadvantage because Tennessee is the better team and because Tennessee has guarded in every game this year.

Over/Under

BET OVER 57.5 (-105).

Both teams have phenomenal offenses, as both are among the top four in the SEC in total yards per game and both average over 35 points per game. The over is also 3-1 for Tennessee and 3-2 for Arkansas this year.

Note that it is always risky to play such a high over number. Tennessee also has the best defense in the SEC in yards allowed per game (176), but the Vols have played against very weak competition this season with the exception of Oklahoma.
