Election Day is still a few weeks away, but not if you vote early.

If so, you can cast your vote either in person or by mail starting Tuesday, October 8th.

However, early voters need to be aware of the deadlines within which mail-in ballots must be requested and returned.

Here are the key dates and times to keep in mind.

Deadlines for early voting

Oct. 8: Early in-person voting begins.

Oct. 29: Applications for postal votes must be received by the electoral boards by 8:30 p.m

November 3rd: The last day for early in-person voting.

November 4th: Absentee ballots returned by mail must be postmarked by this date.

November 5th: On election day, polling stations are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Postal ballots can be delivered in person to the election boards before the polls close.

November 9th: Absentee ballots returned by mail must be received by election boards by this date.

Dates and times for early in-person voting

In Summit County, voters can vote early in person at the Early Vote Center at 500 Grant St., located next to the Board of Elections.

In other counties, early voting locations can be found on the Ohio Secretary of State's website at https://www.ohiosos.gov/elections/voters/toolkit/early-voting/.

Early voting times in Summit County are:

8th–11th Oct. and 14-18. Oct.: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m

21st-25th Oct.: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m

Oct. 26: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m

Oct. 27: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m

Oct. 28: 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m

Oct. 29: 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m

Oct 30 – Nov 1: 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m

November 2nd: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m

November 3rd: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m
