KSI vs. DanTDM: The Twitter drama explained

The online dispute between YouTube content creators Olajide “KSI” Olatunji and Daniel “DanTDM” Middleton heated up on Friday (October 4) when the Sidemen member and the musician invited the two Mincecraft players to the group Sidecast podcast to discuss her recent Twitter preoccupations.

If you're new to this drama (honestly, we won't hold it against you), DanTDM – the TDM which, by the way, stands for his old channel name “The Diamond Minecart” – posted a tweet on September 16th calling Lunchly criticized , KSI's lunch bag brand with influencers Logan Paul and Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson, which they hope will compete with American company Lunchables.

He wrote: “What happened to YouTuber’s husband? I can't say anything more.

“This is simply selling things to make money. How does this benefit your fans?

“This is selling crap to kids who know nothing better than to trust the people who sell it to them. Do better.”

KSI then responded with tweets of his own, taking aim at Middleton's brand personas and referencing previous videos from DanTDM in which he promoted a subscription box called MunchPak.

He also called out DanTDM when tech reviewer Marques Brownlee was criticized over a wallpaper app and McDonald's announced a collaboration with American content creator Kai Cenat.

The boxer and rapper also posted a nearly 20-minute video on September 22, devoting a large portion of the upload to discussing the online drama, referencing other YouTubers who have marketed food products, and claiming he sees ” not that people are going crazy.” them on Twitter.”

“Do you know why? That’s because people just hate us,” he said.

“People hate Logan Paul, okay? They hate Mr. Beast and they hate me on Twitter,” he complained in the video titled “Everybody Hates Us Right Now.”

Then, as he prepared to promote two new singles – “Thick of It” with rapper Trippie Redd and the solo track “Low” – KSI shared several tweets with a link to a website with the URL MyApology.co.uk, which instead redirected visitors to a page to pre-save “Thick of It.”

At the time of writing, the URL now links to the music video for the track, which was released alongside “Low” on Friday.

KSI's latest swipe came on Friday morning when he directed a tweet at DanTDM and said: “Why don't you come over?” Sidecast? Let’s talk about it like men.”

The podcast is hosted by Olatunji as well as the six other members of the YouTube supergroup: Simon “Miniminter” Minter; Harry “WroeToShaw” Lewis; Vikram “Vikkstar123” Barn; Josh “Zerkaa” Bradley; Tobi “TBJZL” Brown and Ethan “Behzinga” Payne.

Although the invitation was ridiculed by other social media users, they pointed out that KSI continued to have problems with a single tweet.

And while all of this was happening, DanTDM has not responded to the drama or KSI's podcast invite since his first tweet on September 16th.

Instead, he continued to post content to his 29 million subscribers on YouTube and released a new one Minecraft Video from September 22nd.
