Houston is locking in heat and humidity ahead of a cold front

Forecast for Sunday:

HOUSTON – The Buffalo Bills are coming to Houston to play the Texans on Sunday at NRG! Kickoff is at 12pm, which means beautiful but hot weather for our loyal tailgaters! We should have mostly sunny skies again at kickoff and temperatures will approach the low 90s.

Great football weather
Next week:

A cold front is on the way and this will help points drop from the 70s and 60s to the 50s and 40s. The front wicks away moisture and ensures a comfortable fit.

It's still humid for me on Monday
The moist air becomes dry.

Temperatures will rise from the upper 90s to the upper 80s behind the front. However, it will not rain from the front.

Temperatures on Monday will still be above average in the mid and upper 90s, ahead of the cold front.
Cooler air arrives on Tuesday
On the trail of the tropics:

Here's what's happening NOW: We're monitoring Tropical Storm Milton, which is expected to strengthen as it moves across the Gulf of Mexico – with the potential to become a hurricane by Monday morning. As Milton moves east, it will continue to gain strength and may strengthen into a Category 3 storm when it reaches the Florida Peninsula midweek.

Milton will be a tropical storm only through Sunday
Landing on the Florida Peninsula at the end of the week
10 day forecast:

A cold front is approaching on Monday that will drop our highs into the 80s and lows into the lower 60s starting Tuesday. A major cold front isn't coming any time soon, but we're always on guard! Don't worry, we expect it to cool down at some point this month.

Sunny stretch with cool mornings.
