More changes are coming for the New York Jets. New interim coach Jeff Ulbrich announced Thursday that offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett will no longer be the team's game day director. Hackett will be replaced as play caller by Todd Downing, the team's quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator.

Ulbrich replaced Robert Saleh, who was fired earlier this week.

Hackett's position on the Jets' staff was already precarious before Saleh was fired. According to CBS Sports, Saleh seriously considered firing Hackett the day before owner Woody Johnson released Saleh. Saleh reportedly would have replaced Hackett with Todd Downing.
