New details on MJF's role in Happy Gilmore 2, when he may return to AEW

MJF is making the most of his run in Hollywood.

Last month, deadline MJF reportedly joined the cast of Adam Sandler's Have fun with Gilmore 2. Mike Johnson from PWInsider It was subsequently reported that MJF will play Gordie Gilmore, one of Happy Gilmore's sons, in the film.

According to a new report from Fightful (via Fightful Select), Max plays a “significant role” in the film. The film was originally scheduled to shoot in New Jersey until November. Fightful reports that MJF filmed throughout September and completed his scenes by the end of the month.

Although a return to AEW is expected “sooner rather than later,” there is no specific date for his return on air.

More details on MJF's upcoming films

In addition to Have fun with Gilmore 2, MJF landed two more supporting roles in upcoming films. At first he landed an unknown role in Chokehold, a comedic thriller starring Justin Long and Ron Perlman. Chokehold has a connection to the pro wrestling world as Ryan Nemeth and Kayla Becker (formerly Kayla Braxton) are also part of the cast. Nemeth is credited as “Leon's Dude Terry” while Becker is listed as “Crystal.”

MJF will also appear in The floaters, a Jewish summer camp comedy directed by Jackie Tohn and starring Seth Green and Aya Cash.

MJF has not been featured in AEW since the “All Out” pay-per-view last month. Max defeated Daniel Garcia on the show, but was seemingly eliminated from television after the match.
