Meat Recall: Here is a list of the nearly 10 million pounds of affected products

The USDA has removed a product list of the nearly 10 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products recalled due to possible Listeria contamination.

The recall affects approximately 9,986,245 pounds of products from BrucePac – an Oklahoma-based company that produces precooked proteins such as chicken, beef, turkey and pork.

The USDA announced the recall early Wednesday morning and later listed all affected products. The meat and poultry products bear the company numbers “51205 or P-51205” and have a best before date of June 19, 2025 to October 8, 2025.

A complete list of the approximately 75 recalled meat products can be found here.

The recall is labeled “Class I” or “High Risk,” meaning there is a high possibility that consumption of these products could cause serious health problems or death.

The affected products, manufactured from June 19 to October 8, were shipped to stores, restaurants and institutions nationwide. The USDA has asked these establishments not to offer or use the products.

Anyone who has purchased ready-to-eat BrucePac meat products should throw them away or return them immediately.

Consuming products contaminated with listeria can cause a serious infection called listeriosis. Symptoms of listeriosis include fever, muscle pain, headache, neck stiffness, confusion, loss of balance and cramps, which are sometimes preceded by diarrhea or other gastrointestinal symptoms, according to the USDA.

To date, there have been no confirmed reports of anyone becoming ill from eating the contaminated meat, but anyone concerned about becoming ill should contact their doctor.

Consumers with food safety questions can call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 888-MPHotline (888-674-6854) or email a question to [email protected].
