TikTok star Taylor Rousseau Grigg's cause of death has been released, just a week after her death at the age of 25.

Taylor – who had more than 1.4 million followers on the social media platform – reportedly died on October 4 from complications of asthma and Addison's disease, a representative for her family told Today.com.

A source close to the influencer's family confirmed to People that she died as a result of a severe asthma attack.

Months before her death, Taylor spoke about the pain she suffered while searching for a diagnosis. In a scary video, the TikToker shared that she feels like she's “fighting for her life every day.”

“One girl said I just looked like the life had been sucked out of me. Honestly, for a while that’s true,” she shared in the TikTok clip. “I feel like I'm fighting for life every day. When I didn't necessarily know what was wrong with me, I would lay in bed in pain and just wish I was dead because I just wanted it to stop, and I don't necessarily feel that way now.”

Holding back tears, Taylor said: “I should be in my prime. I should be able to walk to the mailbox or run, but those are things I can’t really do right now.”

Her husband Cameron Grigg announced her “sudden and unexpected” death on Instagram over the weekend.

“No one ever expects to have to deal with this kind of pain and heartbreak, especially at our age,” Cameron's emotional post reads. “Over the past year, Taylor has endured more pain and suffering than most people endure in a lifetime. And yet she was still such a light and always brought joy to everyone around her.”

Cameron called his wife, whom he married last year, the “bravest and strongest woman I know” and said that Taylor “saved my life and so many others out there.”

He also revealed that she donated her organs.

“More than anything, Taylor wants to know that she continues to save lives even after she is gone from this world,” Cameron wrote. “And even though her earthly body has failed her, her memory and her life will carry on forever. She doesn't owe anyone anything. But she wants everyone to know that she is more than okay.”

Taylor's family has launched a GoFundMe to help with costs related to her death. Cameron noted that they were “financially unsound” and had no insurance. As of Thursday afternoon, over $51,000 had been donated toward the $100,000 goal.

Taylor and Cameron began dating in 2021 after meeting through social media. They got engaged in June 2022 and married in August 2023.

Her latest video was released on September 26 and shows her spending time with her beloved dog.
