ESPN's First Take comes to TSU for the homecoming football game

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – ESPN's popular talk show First Take is traveling to Nashville for the Tennessee State University homecoming football game.

First Take featuring Stephen A. Smith, Molly Qerim and new former NFL MVP Cam Newtown will host a live show at TSU on Friday, October 11th for the show's HBCU Roadshow. This live show will be Newton's debut at First Take.

“The addition of Cam Newton to First Take brings an electrifying presence and expands our roster of high-profile personalities,” said David Roberts, Executive Vice President, Executive Editor, Sports News and Entertainment at ESPN. “His dynamic charisma, combined with high-profile debates alongside Stephen A. Smith, will create compelling, must-see television for fans.”

The Metro Nashville Police Department is preparing for homecoming festivities at TSU. The annual homecoming parade and game is scheduled for Saturday.

“Tennessee State University graduates and football fans traveling to Nissan Stadium on Saturday for this year's 5 p.m. home game against Eastern Illinois University are urged to make a parking/arrival plan well in advance, arrive at the stadium early and in the afternoon “Expect a slowdown in traffic due to limited parking related to the construction of the new Nissan Stadium,” MNPD said.
