Travis Kelce's ex Kayla Nicole references his Taylor Swift romance

Kayla Nicole speaks openly about where she stands with her ex-boyfriend Travis Kelce.

“We've seen each other in public spaces before, but I think we're both aware of the nature of his new situation, that there's just no room for us to communicate publicly or acknowledge each other without something becoming crazy.” “, 32-year-old Nicole revealed on the Thursday, October 10 episode of the “Unapologetically Angel” podcast. “I’ll probably hit him with a nod. Nicole dated Kelce, 35, on and off between 2017 and 2022 before they finally split. The NFL player later transitioned to global pop superstardom Taylor Swift in July 2023.

“He’s a great guy,” the sports broadcaster said of her past relationship with Kelce. “That was a beautiful time in my life. So many lessons learned, but that’s the case in any relationship.”

Upon request by the host Angel Reese Nicole expressed hesitation as to whether she would ever enter into a public relationship again.

“I don’t think I’ll be doing that any time soon,” she explained. “People can’t choose what they don’t know. From now on I would just protect my relationships.”

While Nicole didn't mention Swift's name during the candid podcast, she apparently addressed the online hate she's received from some Swifties. Even a year after Kelce moved in with Swift, 34, Nicole can't seem to avoid some critical comments.

“I would be lying if I said that this level of hate and just the chaos online doesn't affect me,” she revealed. “It still does to this day. If you go to my last post, people will be arguing among themselves about why I’m worthless, why I’ll never be a talented person, and why I don’t have a career.”

“I think there's something about that level of notoriety that attracts crazy people,” she continued. “It’s unfortunate because I’ve never done anything that would warrant such a backlash.”

Another disappointment for Nicole is that she is no longer as close to the wives and girlfriends of other Chiefs players. Now that their relationship is over, things are no longer the same.
