Anti-abortion ads target hosts of “The View” — and air during “The View.”

ABC warned its audience about the airing of a disturbing political advert that the network said it was forced to air during a live episode of The viewwith the commercial showing graphic images of abortions and comparing several celebrities – including all six co-hosts of The view – to Nazis.

During the show's final commercial break on Thursday, a warning message appeared on the screen reading: “The following is a paid political advertisement and the ABC Television Network is required by federal law to distribute it.” The advertisement contains scenes that may be disturbing.” Children are advised to use discretion.

The explicit clip – hosted by presidential candidate and anti-abortion activist Randall Terry – began with a shot of Miley Cyrus (pictured holding a cake that reads “Abortion is health care”) and an image of Whoopi Goldberg sitting on top The view Table with current topics.

“I’m so sick of stupid celebrities and lying journalists,” Terry says via voiceover in the ad before the footage shows images of them view Cast: Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin; broadcasters Jake Tapper, Wolf Blitzer and Dana Bash; and celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Taylor Swift, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans, Billie Eilish, Scarlett Johansson and more. The commercial then shows several images of fetuses and later images of abortion procedures. “Why don’t you fools follow the science?” asks Terry.

“These are dead people, murdered by the abortion you promote. If history remembers you at all, you will be remembered like Leni Riefenstahl and Joseph Goebbels. The name of the wicked will rot,” Terry continues near the end of the anti-Kamala Harris ad, which mentions the names of prominent Nazi figures.

After the clip aired, ABC followed up with another text statement that read: “The foregoing was a paid political advertisement that the ABC Television Network was required to broadcast under federal law. The advertisement contained scenes that may be disturbing to viewers.”

Local ABC affiliates commented on the ad online, and the Chicago station provided an editorial note explaining the commercial to audiences.

“According to the FCC, broadcast networks are prohibited from censoring or rejecting political ads paid for and sponsored by legally qualified candidates,” the post said. “Terry will be on the ballot in at least 12 states, so he meets the criteria to be considered a legally qualified candidate.”

Weekly entertainment reached out to a representative The view reached out to ABC, the Federal Communications Commission and several parties featured in the ad for comment.

In a statement to EW, a CNN representative said: “The ad in which presidential candidate Randall Terry – without any justification or justification – compares several respected CNN journalists and commentators to Nazis is outrageous, anti-Semitic and dangerous.”

Many of the stars featured in Terry's ad have spoken out about abortion rights, including the panelists from The viewwho have expressed support for American citizens having the right to decide their own reproductive rights without government involvement.

Swift recently endorsed Harris in the upcoming election and urged her supporters to register to vote in November.

“If you haven't already, now is a good time to learn about the current issues and these candidates' positions on the issues that matter most to you,” the singer wrote in a social media post. “As a voter, I watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country. It was recently brought to my attention that an AI of “me” was posted on his website that falsely endorsed Donald Trump's presidential candidacy. It really is.” It made me realize that as a voter I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election. The easiest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.

The view airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on ABC.
