Sean “Diddy” Combs seemed to check it out Justin Bieber to see if he was wearing a wire in a resurfaced video.

The 54-year-old music mogul hugged Bieber, 30, before patting him on the chest at random spots in the throwback video he posted Daily Mail Then on Thursday, October 10, Diddy put his entire hand on Bieber and many people believe he was checking to see if the “Love Yourself” singer was recording the conversation for authorities.

“A resurfaced video of Diddy and Justin Bieber hugging has led to speculation that Diddy was checking to see if the pop star was wearing a wire,” the outlet wrote alongside the clip posted to Instagram. “Justin is said to be 'disgusted' by the allegations against Diddy, who was a mentor to him early in his music career.”

Bieber has been a hot topic of conversation during Diddy's arrest, as the “Baby” artist has been seen in numerous previous videos with the rapper.

“So, look at this, yo. Justin – have you ever seen the movie? 48 hours? Right now he's spending 48 hours with Diddy where we're hanging out and what we're doing we can't really reveal,” Diddy said in a 2009 video uploaded to Bieber's YouTube account. “But it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream. I don’t have legal guardianship of (Justin), but for the next 48 hours he’s with me and we’re going to go crazy.”

In 2011, Bieber and Diddy performed Jimmy Kimmel Live!and the “It's All About the Benjamins” artist said he and Bieber “became friends in a weird way.”

Diddy continued: “He’s like a little brother to a lot of us. … He’s not afraid to call and ask for advice. He's someone who across the industry…the record industry is a strong family. And he's someone we definitely want to hug and protect because, aside from his talent, he's a really nice person. … He’s one of the greatest kids you could ever know.”

Diddy was arrested on sex trafficking and racketeering charges on September 16 and was denied bail, meaning he will likely remain behind bars until his trial, which has not yet been scheduled. According to court documents obtained by In contactThe grand jury alleged that Diddy abused, threatened and coerced women and others around him “to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation and conceal his conduct.”

Diddy pleaded not guilty to all charges and maintained his innocence.

“We are disappointed by the decision to pursue what we believe to be an unjustified prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Diddy’s attorney said Marc Agnifilo said in a statement following his arrest. “Sean 'Diddy' Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, idolizing his children and working to strengthen the black community.”

Agnifilo continued: “Mr. Combs is a fighter. He will fight it until the end. “He came to New York to prove his innocence. … He’s not afraid of the charges. There is nothing the Government said in its presentation today that would upset anyone about anything. He was looking forward to this day; He was looking forward to clearing his name and he will clear his name. We will stand by his side like him.”
