WATCH: Colt McCoy narrates the Texas hype video for the Red River Rivalry

The Red River Rivalry – there's nothing like it in college football.

On the second Saturday of October at the State Fair, the Cotton Bowl split 50/50 in burnt orange and white and purple and cream as the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners play their annual grudge game in Dallas.

This year, Longhorn legend Colt McCoy narrates the hype video for Saturday's matchup between No. 1 Texas and No. 18 Oklahoma.

“A lot has changed over the years, but one thing has remained the same: this game is where legends are made. The pieces, the moments, the memories, they are more than just history. They’re immortal,” McCoy says.

“It's hard to describe. As soon as you see it, as soon as you feel it, you understand it. You see it in the eyes of every player, you hear it in the cheers of every family. You feel the love and that fuels the fire. We saw all the highlights, the unforgettable pieces that stood still in time,” he continues.

“Now it’s our turn and it’s time to add our own chapter to this rivalry. We know what’s important – the fight, the grip, the passion. It's in our blood. That's what we do. When you put on this helmet, you don't just walk onto a field, you carry the legacy of every Longhorn that stormed out of that tunnel, you wear burnt orange for every Texan who ever bled burnt orange, and for every brother that stands next to you. There's no love in Oklahoma, but there's plenty of strife in Texas, because history isn't just behind us, it's right in front of us, ready to be written again. Hook them.”
