Scarlett Johansson reveals her regrets about Black Widow and Hawkeye after returning to the MCU

Scarlett Johansson has commented on what she thinks the Marvel Cinematic Universe would have done differently Black widow. The actress brought to life one of the most important heroes of all MCU films. Black Widow was an important part of the Avengers and it was only through her sacrifices that the team was able to defeat Thanos. After a film that finally explores her origins in the form of 2021 Black widowthe star is done with the role. However, since Johansson is now involved in Marvel Studios lightning*perhaps her regrets over Black Widow could lead to a return as Natasha Romanoff.

In conversation with MTV UK, Scarlett Johansson said she would have liked to know more about Black Widow's past and her relationship with Hawkeye.

While the Black Widow film managed to shed light on many aspects of Natasha Romanoff's origin, the film did not include Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye other than an uncredited voice appearance during Black Widow and Hawkeye's much-discussed Budapest mission. The film never showed the two's first meeting or the beginning of their relationship, but with Johansson now back in the MCU, there's a slim chance a future Marvel project could pull this off. “I probably would have gone further back in the Black Widow story. I would have liked to see Hawkeye, Black Widow and some of that. You see early parts of her life.”

The MCU could use more original Avengers

Johansson has said she is done with Black Widow. However, it's interesting to see that the actress still feels that the character could have been explored more. Now that Johansson is back in the MCU, even if she's playing a producer, perhaps Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige could convince her to return as Natasha Romanoff, similar to Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans, who left the MCU also left with Avengers: Endgame but have since returned to the franchise.

2021 Black widow offers the perfect way Johansson could come back. The film was a prequel that explored events from Natasha's past and the character's adventures in between Captain America: Civil War And Avengers: Infinity Warsince Black Widow had already died in the MCU in 2019. Johansson's possible return wouldn't have to affect Romanoff's endingas a new Black Widow film focusing on Natasha meeting Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton and going on a mission with Hawkeye would be a perfect fit, allowing Johansson to sort out her MCU regrets and Marvel having an original Avenger back in the game .

More Hawkeye and Black Widow will always be great

Hawkeye and Black Widow's friendship is one of the best relationships in the MCU. The touching nature of Natasha Romanoff's sacrifice broke my heart as the two Avengers fought each other to see who could sacrifice their life to save their best friend, showing how much they loved each other. Like Johansson, I would have liked the beginning of Clint and Natasha's relationship to be explored in the MCU. Even if it comes out in animated form, hopefully Marvel will find a way to address that part Black widow's story.

Black Widow is a film about Natasha Romanoff and her search between films Civil War And Infinity War. This is the 24th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the first solo film for Black Widow, one of the original six Avengers. The character previously appeared in seven MCU films, including all four avenger Films. Black widow was originally scheduled for May 2020, but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
