North West uses a fake name when out with friends

Northwest confessed that she uses an alter ego along the way.

“I have (a fake name). But I'm going to change because no one believes me,” 11-year-old West told his mother Kim Kardashian in conversation with interview Magazine published on Friday October 11th. “It's Katie Johnson.”

North, Kardashian's eldest daughter, 43, and Kanye Westadmitted that she usually uses a different nickname when spending time with her friends in public.

“When I'm at Sky Zone with my friends, they call me Katie,” she continued. “But when I look in the mirror for a long time, I think, 'I don't look like a Katie.' And then I thought, 'Okay, I have to change my name.'”

The Kardashian-Jenner clan is not only shaping the entertainment and business worlds, but they are also raising their next generation. North's decision to use a pseudonym isn't that shocking since her famous father is known for the many nicknames he's used over the years. Kanye, 47, is known as Pablo, Yeezy, Yeezus and most recently Ye. The rapper even officially changed his name to Ye in 2021.

Earlier this year, North worked with her father on his and Ty Dolla $ign's album, Vulture 1. She rapped a verse on the track “Talking/Once Again” in which she revealed her musical personality, Miss Westie. (The song peaked at number 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and achieved her first chart appearance at age 10.)

North has always had a close bond with her father. Kardashian and Kanye tied the knot in 2014. In addition to North, the two also have son Saint (8), daughter Chicago (6) and son Psalm (5). In February 2021, the Skims founder filed for divorce from Kanye after seven years of marriage. The ex-partners' divorce was finalized the following year.

In the interview Speaking to Kardashian, North confessed that one of her fondest memories was a trip she and her siblings took with Kanye to Italy, where her parents were married.

“It was just us and my siblings, and that's when I really brought them close to God, because we had this house and there were these devil statues,” she recalled to the outlet on Friday. “And I was like, 'Mm-mm, mm-mm, no, girl.' I thought, ‘We have to pray.’ Then I taught Chi and Psalm and Saint how to pray.”

Although North maintains a good relationship with her younger siblings, she admitted that they sometimes tend to get under her skin.

“If they bother me, I just say, 'Yo, get out of my room. “I don’t really feel it,” North joked.
