Marilyn Manson's accuser Esmé Bianco criticizes the prosecution's handling of the sexual abuse case after new evidence emerged

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced that prosecutors are reviewing new evidence in the sexual abuse investigation against Marilyn Manson, two years after authorities first announced they were investigating allegations against the musician.

A statement from Gascón's office said prosecutors are “carefully reviewing new leads” and that it would be “inappropriate” for the district attorney to meet in person with potential victims involved in an ongoing investigation.

No charges were filed in the case. A lawyer for Manson, 55, whose birth name is Brian Hugh Warner, did not respond to a request for comment.

“We expect to make a decision on the filing soon and will provide an update in due course,” the prosecutor’s statement said.

“Game of Thrones” actress Esmé Bianco, who previously brought allegations of abuse against Manson, appeared at a news conference Thursday with Nathan Hochman, Gascón's opponent in the contentious race for district attorney in Los Angeles County. She criticized Gascón's handling of the case, saying he had dodged her requests for two years.

“We’re all still waiting for answers,” she told reporters outside the district attorney’s office in downtown L.A.
