The South American eliminations for the 2026 Copa Mundial de la FIFA begin a week from the dispute on February 9, and the selection of South American players continues until classification.

  • Uruguay has not been hosted in the South American Eliminatorios (3V 2E) in their last five years. It is their best Racha de Vallas Invictas in torneo history, along with other five encounters between 1969 and 1973 (3V 2E).
  • Pedro Gallese is the only player to hold the title in all parts of his selection in the current edition and at the end of the Eliminatorias Sudamericanas (26). Ultimately, Peru received a Partido with a different tree in September 2017, ahead of Ecuador (Carlos Cáceda).
