Here's a look at the full course itinerary – NBC Chicago

The 46th annual Bank of America Chicago Marathon kicks off this weekend, bringing tens of thousands of runners on a 26.2-mile route that passes through many of Chicago's most iconic neighborhoods.

The repeat of the race in 2024 is expected to include more than 50,000 participants, with approximately 35% of participants coming from international locations.

But where do runners travel?

The race begins and ends in Grant Park, but extends just beyond downtown, passing through 29 neighborhoods and some of Chicago's most famous streets.

The 26.2-mile hike takes runners across six Chicago River bridges and stretches from Sheridan Road in the north to 35th Street in the south.

In addition, the fans should be distributed at various observation points throughout the marathon route.

Here's how to watch

NBC Chicago and Telemundo Chicago offer full live TV coverage and live streaming of the 2024 Chicago Marathon in both English and Spanish. Live broadcasts will also be available on the NBC Chicago and Telemundo Chicago apps, as well as on the networks' 24/7 streaming channel.
