After unveiling two new jerseys for the 2024-25 AHL season, the Hershey Bears are upping the ante as the two-time defending Calder Cup champions will wear a special jersey for their two games this weekend.

Tomorrow the Bears will open the season with their banner game against the Cleveland Monsters and will face Cleveland again on Sunday night.

Last night, the team unveiled this new chocolate and white sweater that commemorates back-to-back Calder Cup championships in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons.

The sweaters are chocolate brown, have white piping and a special new crest that reads “Back To Back Calder Cup Champions” with the dates underneath when the last two cups were won. The letter “B” is written in gold and also forms the number “13” – a recognition of the 13 championships the franchise has won in its history. The rest of “Back To Back” is written in white font. And even though the team got new jerseys this year, they don't just slap that crest on the new jersey, they use their previous jersey design instead. Here is their home sweater for the 2024-25 season on the left and the special jersey they will wear this weekend on the right:

The design of the crest is almost identical to the Bears' new center ice design.

In addition to the special sweater, the Bears also unveiled their 2024 Calder Cup Champs rings.
