Episode premiere: Grammy-nominated singer-songwriters Maggie Rogers and Gracie Abrams

“Austin City Limits” delivers all the emotions in a heartfelt new episode that introduces two gifted singer-songwriters: Maggie Rogers And Gracie Abrams. Both artists create honest, personal music and value connection with the audience, encouraging listeners to feel all the feels. For her second appearance at ACL, the Grammy-nominated Rogers shines in pearls Don't forget me; She is followed by 2024 Grammy Best New Artist nominee Abrams, who makes his program debut with standout chart-topping performances The secret of us. The one-hour episode premieres Saturday, October 12 at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT. Producer/songwriter/performer Maggie Rogers made her Austin City Limits debut in Season 45 with songs from 2019 Heard it in a past life and returns as an essential live act during their first arena tour. Rogers takes viewers on a journey through her cinematic songs and presents highlights from her third LP Don't forget mea road trip album written from the perspective of someone leaving home for the first time. Accompanied by a six-piece band, Rogers puts the pedal to the metal for the raw emotion of opener “So Sick Of Dreaming,” a lovelorn kiss with a spoken interlude for an ex-partner. “This song is a love song,” Rogers smiles in the intro to her 2019 hit “Love You For A Long Time.” She dances ecstatically across the stage, creating a real connection with her audience as the enthusiastic Austin crowd sings along passionately . It is based on its release in the second year of 2020 Give up for “Anywhere With You” and closes the rollicking set full of good vibes with this year’s big-hearted title track “Don’t Forget Me.”

Los Angeles native Gracie Abrams was chosen by Taylor Swift to open select dates on her blockbuster Eras Tour and will return to Swift on the final leg of that tour this fall, in addition to her own sold-out headlining tour. Abrams, 25, has amassed a loyal following of adoring fans who chant her name and sing along to every word of her emotionally intimate lyrics. In her ACL debut, Abrams performs her latest album The secret of us as the centerpiece. She opens a captivating set with a trio of songs from the album, including fan-favorite single “Risk” and “I Love You, I'm Sorry,” as the enthusiastic crowd screams out every lyric. Abrams revisits the 2020 EP that began her meteoric rise with the tender ballad “Friend.” She wears her heart on her sleeve and interacts with fans by waving and giving messages mid-song. Abrams has struck a chord with vulnerable melodies that speak of modern love, songs with millions of streams that resonate with a new generation.
