Seeing yourself portrayed in what was probably one of the most stressful moments of your career must be confusing – especially when that moment was the series premiere of Saturday Night Live. From now until the summer hit, SNL Nostalgia will be non-stop as the show celebrates its 50th season. Celebrating the anniversary of Jason Reitman's first episode Saturday evening brings the 90 minutes of live show pre-production angst to a theater near you. What is the cast of the original? Cory Michael Smith, who plays Chase in the film, confirmed this People that Chase has seen the film but hasn't said what the actor thinks of his performance. He explained: “I hope that he saw a younger version of himself, which may or may not be a joyful experience.” But this man played such a big role in my desire to become an actor and love films, so it was an honor to play him.”
