Colts QB Joe Flacco will start against the Titans with Anthony Richardson (oblique) inactive

In four starts this season, Richardson has struggled with his accuracy, completing just 50.6% of his passes (39 of 77) for 654 yards, three touchdowns and six interceptions. He added a TD on the ground.

The ever-young Flacco, 39, was given the starting job in Richardson's absence and threw for five touchdowns and 527 yards in two games. Although Flacco's mastery of the offense has led to better statistical results, head coach Shane Steichen has made it clear that this is Richardson's team when he's healthy. However, that is not yet the case.

While Flacco and the Colts look for a win on Sunday, Richardson's health will continue to be a long-term concern.

Richardson's final game of 2023 happened to be against the Titans. In Week 5 last year, Richardson was 9 of 12 for 98 yards before suffering a shoulder injury that landed him on the injured list for the remainder of his rookie season.

As for Flacco's history with the Titans, he is 3-3 against them as a starter, but will play against Tennessee for the first time since Week 6 of the 2019 season. As a starter for the Denver Broncos, Flacco helped his team to a 16-0 victory. He will be vying for similar results.

Flacco and the visiting Colts (2-3) take on the Titans (1-3) on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
