Although she's feeling more comfortable navigating the process after a challenging decade of fertility issues, Erin Andrews admits she's nervous about taking on this journey again.

The sports broadcaster recently shared with E! News that she's thinking about expanding her family 15 months after giving birth to her first child.

Speaking to the outlet, the 46-year-old reflected on losing two embryos before finding out her surrogate was pregnant with her son.

“It's crazy because as soon as you get back on the phone with your fertility doctor and start talking about the trip again, the PTSD comes back, how crappy you felt, how numb your body becomes, just the fear of loss,” she said. “Well, it’s a lot. It’s a loaded thing.”

Andrews also noted that her husband, 42, experienced his own emotional journey throughout the process and shared that hearing him express his feelings was beneficial for her, too.

“Sometimes men don’t want to talk about it, but they also feel the feelings,” she said of her husband, whom she married in 2017. “My husband was really, really great after we went through that.” more downs than ups, just saying, “This just isn't great and I feel like a failure,” and that helped a lot too.

After overcoming the challenging moments of their seven-year marriage, they have learned that honesty is key.

“You really have to be honest with each other,” the sports broadcaster said. “You have to give each other a break. You have to be patient. It also puts a strain on your finances, which also puts a strain on your marriage. Great, except for the end product, when you can have the baby and think, 'Wow, that was worth it.'”

The Fox sports anchor and her husband, former NHL player Jarret Stoll, became parents for the first time in June 2023 with the birth of their son Mack.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2017 after five years of dating, spoke openly about their fertility journey before welcoming Mack as a surrogate. Before his birth, Andrews went through a decade-long IVF process and was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2016.

“I've been trying to do IVF treatment for a while now, but sometimes things don't go the way you want. Your body just won't allow it,” she said in 2021, adding that she wants to speak “loudly and honestly” about her story to help others.

“Now that it's my seventh time, I suddenly noticed something. Why am I keeping this so secret when it's just a part of our lives?” Andrews continued: “Instead of being ashamed, we need to give ourselves more love.”

While it's still unclear whether they will give birth to a second baby, Erin Andrews said if they decide to do so, she knows she will lean on the support of her close friends and family.

“Even though they didn't really know what I was going through, they knew how shitty it felt and they were just great, like, 'I'm sorry, welfare check,' and things like that,” she said.

She also spoke about the challenges of raising a toddler while traveling across the country has its challenges. Since Stoll works in player development for his former team, the Los Angeles Kings, “they're both in the season at the same time” and so “it's a lot and you need help.”

Erin Andrews added: “And I’m not afraid to say that. And you need to make sure the help fits you, your family and your lifestyle.”

Andrews and Stoll gave birth to their son Mack Roger Stoll via surrogate on June 28, 2023. The baby weighed 7 pounds and 7 ounces.
