KORN's JONATHAN DAVIS celebrates the anniversary of his debut album: “I Can't Believe You're 30 Years Old”

On Friday (October 11), the 30th anniversary of the release of GRAINis the band's self-titled debut album Jonathan Davis took to his social media to share the LP's cover art, adding the following message: “I can't believe you're 30 years old.”

“I'm so proud of this record, it's changed so many things in my life.

“I remember my 24-year-old self being so nervous that I opened my heart to let the world feel the pain I was going through at the time.”

“It’s so incredible that it has helped so many on their journey through the darkness we all know so well.”

“@ross_robinson, thank you for capturing every emotional breath. I heard the sound of my teeth grinding from the tension in my body.

To celebrate its 30th anniversary GRAIN played on Saturday, October 5th at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. This one-night performance featured special guests TRANSIENCE, GOJIRA, DARON MALAKIAN AND SCARS ON BROADWAY, SPIRIT BOX And SOLD.

GRAIN kicked off its Summer/Fall 2024 North American tour on September 12th at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheater in Tampa, Florida. The band's 18-song setlist is included “Oildale” from the band's 2010 LP “Korn III: Remember Who You Are” And “Hey Dad”a title from GRAINis the album from 1999 “problems” which was only ever performed almost 25 years ago.

GRAIN's 25 date Live Nation-produced hike with special guests, grammy-nominated band GOJIRA and Canadian heavy metal group SPIRIT BOXwill conclude October 27 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.

When the BMO show was first announced in March, Davis said in a statement: “Reflecting on thirty years GRAIN It fills me with great gratitude for our journey, the growth we have experienced and the incredible connection we share with our fans. It's humbling to see how our music has touched so many lives around the world. From the beginning of our small club to headlining the stadiums, it has been an unforgettable journey and we owe it all to our amazing, undying and loyal community that made it possible. I’m really looking forward to this incredible evening to celebrate together.”

GRAIN changed the world with the release of their self-titled debut album in 1994. It was a record that pioneered one genre and blurred others – leading to a larger cultural movement. Since its founding, GRAIN has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide, collecting two of them Grammystoured the world countless times, setting many records that will probably never be surpassed. GRAIN has continued to push the boundaries of rock, alternative and metal genres while remaining a pillar of influence for legions of fans and generations of artists around the world.
