Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow suffered an injury in the fourth quarter of the NFL's Week 6 win over the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football at MetLife Stadium.

Burrow was examined in the medical tent after hitting his head hard on the turf during a tackle by the Giants' Brian Burns on third down. Burrow returned to the sideline after being evaluated in the tent.

Burrow sat on the bench and looked at his tablet. Backup quarterback Jake Browning sat next to him.

When the Giants turned the ball over on downs with three minutes left, Burrow returned to the game.

NBC's Melissa Stark asked Burrow after the game if he was OK.

“It's all ok. “It’s all good,” Burrow replied.

“I just got a little winded,” Burrow told reporters afterward.

In the first quarter of the game, Burrow ran 47 yards for a touchdown, giving Cincinnati a 7-0 lead.

Burrow, in his fifth NFL season with the Bengals, was playing in his sixth regular-season game since suffering a season-ending wrist injury in a loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Burrow hobbled between plays during the first quarter of a win against the Carolina Panthers two weeks ago after guard and teammate Cordell Volson stepped on his foot, but Burrow did not leave the game.

Burrow suffered a season-ending knee injury on a hit by Washington's Jonathan Allen in November 2020.
