The Commanders players are disappointed about missed opportunities against the Baltimore Ravens

The Washington Commanders fell to 4-2 yesterday after their 30-23 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. It was a physical, competitive game, which is not unexpected in a game against Baltimore, but the Commanders showed up to start the game. Unfortunately, as the game wore on, Washington was unable to turn the momentum in its favor as the Ravens slowed down in the run game. The Ravens' offense controlled time of possession throughout the game, and while their running game wasn't lively in the first half (51 yards, averaging 3.4 YPC), Lamar Jackson dominated through the air with 197 yards and nearly 10 yards per passport. Baltimore's running game gained traction in the second half with 125 rushing yards in the second half, and their ability to control the clock put tremendous pressure on Kliff Kingsbury and rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. While the offense did a great job of keeping Washington in the game, they still had some missed opportunities and the players couldn't help but express the disappointment in their emotions after the game.

You can listen to the full post-game recap episode of Trap or Dive below. I discussed the following:

  • The difference in rank between the Baltimore Ravens and the Washington Commanders
  • Lack of running game, which is why Baltimore caused problems
  • Jayden Daniels kept Washington on the ball, but third-down issues plagued the team in the second half
