Dennis Quaid says Trump rally voters have to choose between “TikTok and the Constitution.”

Dennis Quaid said Americans must choose between TikTok and the Constitution and vote for Donald Trump as he rallied for the former president in California.

The actor, known for his roles in The Parent Trap and The Right Stuff, was the latest Hollywood star to come out in support of Trump over Kamala Harris.

At a rally in Coachella, he said it was “time to choose a side” and compared the former president to his Republican predecessor Ronald Reagan.

“Will we be a nation that stands up for the Constitution? Or for TikTok?” he said.

“Will we be a nation of law and order? Or wide open borders? Which is it? Because it’s time to choose a side.”

Quaid originally supported Trump in May, saying on Piers Morgan's Uncensored show: “People call him an asshole, but he's my asshole.”

Reagan comparisons

The actor, who recently played Reagan in a biopic, said the 1980 election that brought him to power was comparable to the 2024 race because of global threats against the U.S. and high consumer inflation.

“It's amazing how similar the themes of the 1980 election are to those of today,” he said.

“We were a nation in decline. That's what they told us. Ronald Reagan came and said, No, we are not a nation in decline…same with Trump, President Trump.”

“I'm going to ask you a question that Reagan asked America back then, and I think it's the question that got him elected. “Are you feeling better than you were four years ago?” he added.
