Country singer Brantley Gilbert abruptly interrupts the concert when his wife gives birth on the tour bus

Shortly into his Friday show in Mississippi, country singer Brantley Gilbert left fans hanging – albeit for good reason – when he left the stage due to an emergency: his wife had gone into labor.

Luckily for Gilbert, his wife Amber was nearby on the musician's tour bus.

But there was no time for the hospital.

On Saturday, Gilbert recapped the wild story on social media.

“So last night might have been the craziest night of my life,” he captioned an Instagram post. “Watching such an amazing woman do such an amazing thing is something I will never forget,” he wrote.

“Thank you to our road family for rallying around us, to Brittany Thornton for helping us bring this little guy into the world, to Tupelo, Mississippi for showing us insane love and support, and especially… to Amber Gilbert, who made me love you and…” shows me EXACTLY how incredibly strong a woman can be.

A representative for Gilbert provided Fox News Digital with a postpartum photo.

Gilbert's post included a video explaining the sequence of events. The singer began his performance but left the stage shortly afterwards. Footage of Gilbert backstage shows him walking towards the venue's likely exit.

The video then shows Gilbert on his tour bus calling his mother to announce the arrival of her new grandchild. The camera shows a newborn baby lying on a towel. The images included in the montage show Amber lying on the couch as she cuddles skin-to-skin with her child as Gilbert looks on adoringly.

“She’s a damn savage,” Gilbert said of his wife, who had just given birth to the couple’s third child on the bus.

“Well, I'm going to finish this show and then do a FaceTime video with you,” he then tells his mother as the footage fades out and he goes back on stage. It is unclear how long Gilbert was absent from the concert.

“We’ve had a baby,” he announced to the crowd, who let out an ecstatic roar.

On Mother's Day, the couple announced that they were expecting their third child.

Gilbert's next performance is scheduled for October 17 in Savannah, Georgia.
