CIRCLEVILLE, OH – As the Circleville Pumpkin Show approaches, contestants for the title of Miss Pumpkin Show are busily preparing for the festivities.

Bre Anderson, a 17-year-old student at New Hope Christian Academy, is one of the participants. Her parents are Abbey Scherer and Doug Anderson. In addition to her studies, Bre is actively involved in cheerleading, serves as student council president, volunteers, plays softball, and participates in 4-H and nursing school.

When asked what it means to be chosen by her peers to represent her school, Bre expressed pride in being a role model. “It is an honor to represent my school and community,” she shared.

Bre's motivation to become Miss Pumpkin Show comes from her fond memories of the event. “I think of a fun party that I look forward to every year,” she said, recalling her favorite moment when she was crowned Little Miss in first grade.

Your favorite treat from The Pumpkin Show? “Apple puree and cheese on a stick,” she explained, highlighting the festival’s delicious offerings. She described the event as “a fall festival with rides, food, contests and huge parades every night.”

If Bre were given the chance to improve the Pumpkin Show, she would suggest “more room for more people,” underscoring the community's willingness to participate. As queen, she wants to promote the festival by sharing her experiences on social media and encouraging greater engagement.

Bre calls her mother the most influential person in her life and praises her unwavering support and encouragement. “She did so much for me,” Bre said.

One of her proudest achievements is becoming a nursing student, which laid the foundation for her future.

As the Pumpkin Show approaches, participants like Bre Anderson embody the spirit of the festival, combining community pride with personal ambition.
