Olivia Rodrigo confirms she is fine after falling at a concert in Melbourne

Olivia Rodrigo wasn't kidding about going Down Under with her Guts World Tour.

During her October 13 concert in Melbourne, the “Vampire” singer took an unexpected, brutal fall as thousands of adoring fans screamed in shock. Rodrigo was running around greeting fans in the crowd when she began sprinting to the other side of the stage without looking – and suddenly she disappeared from view and fell into a hole in the stage floor.

According to fan-shot footage of the moment, Rodrigo managed to catch himself and recovered like a champ.

“Oh my God! That was fun,” she said as she emerged from the lowered platform. “I'm fine!”

She climbed all the way out and continued to poke fun at the stumble, quipping, “Sometimes there's just a hole in the stage. Okay, where was I? How are you tonight, Melbourne?”

Rodrigo kept the jokes rolling on social media, where she joined the “subtle foreshadowing” TikTok trend with a cut highlighting her sudden fall from the stage. And in case fans are still worried, she reassured everyone with a comment under the video: “I'm fine haha” with a heart emoji.

Meanwhile, fans didn't hold back when it came to turning their lyrics into puns. “That was a bad idea, wasn't it?” one user wrote, while another joked: “Always one step forward and three steps down.”

An accidental dive wasn't the only dramatic moment in Rodrigo's final concert. On

In one case, the “Brutal” singer briefly had a wardrobe malfunction where a bracelet got stuck in her hair mid-choreography and she was able to continue singing despite the awkward position. In the other image, Rodrigo's hair gets caught in her microphone, pulling out more than a few strands at a time.

Despite these short interruptions, the singer was able to achieve great success with her most recent series of concerts. Rodrigo's Guts tour in support of her second album of the same name began in February 2024 and runs through March 2025. Supporting acts so far have included the Breeders, Remi Wolf and fellow seismic pop star Chappell Roan.
