Jets' Woody Johnson Talks Davante Adams Trade, Says 'Status Quo' Won't Lead to Wins | News, results, highlights, statistics and rumors

New York Jets owner Woody Johnson didn't mince his words about the team's desire to win following Tuesday's deal to acquire Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders.

Speaking to reporters during league meetings in Atlanta, Johnson said that “the killer status quo” was the main driving force behind Adams reuniting with Aaron Rodgers.

“You have to follow your instincts and build a culture,” Johnson added. “He will open everything.”

According to NFL Network Ian RapoportThe Jets send a conditional draft pick to the Raiders for Adams.

ESPN's Adam Schefter added that the Raiders can get a second-rounder if certain individual or team performance metrics are met.
