Model announcements and live updates from the 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

On Wednesday, Victoria's Secret's official Instagram account posted a video featuring Tyra Banks and Gigi Hadid. Both models have walked the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in the past – Banks walked the runway as an angel in nine shows, while Hadid walked the runway three times for the retailer.

The video announced the location and date of the 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which will take place on October 15 in New York City.

Who will be at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show?

Imaan Hammam, Candice Swanepoel, Paloma Elsesser, Devyn Garcia, Taylor Hill and Mayowa Nicholas are among the models already announced to walk the runway at the 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Candice Swanepoel

The supermodel returns to the brand after eleven shows. In 2010 she was named a VS Angel. In 2013, she wore the VS Fantasy Bra, which was worth $10 million at the time. Over the course of her 20-year career, she has appeared on the runway for Fendi, Chanel, Tommy Hilfiger, Oscar de la Renta, Elie Saab and more.

Taylor Hill

Taylor Hill walked the runway in five consecutive Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows, including the 2018 Holiday Special. In 2015, she was named a VS Angel. Hill has modeled for designers and brands such as Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Versace and Valentino, among others.

Mayowa Nicholas

Mayowa Nicholas returns to the Victoria's Secret runway after making her debut with the brand during the 2018 fashion show in New York City. Nicholas has worked with designers and brands such as Miu Miu, Prada, Versace, Michael Kors and Oscar de la Renta, among others.

Imaan Hammam

Imaan Hammam has only attended one Victoria's Secret Fashion Show – the 2014 show in London. The model walked the catwalks for brands and fashion houses such as Alexander McQueen, Ralph Lauren, Prada, Michael Kors and Jean Paul Gaultier, among others.

Paloma Elsesser

Paloma Elsesser will make her Victoria's Secret runway debut at the 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in October 2024. The model walked the catwalk for designers and brands such as Hermès, Mugler, Ferragamo and Carolina Herrera, among others.

Devyn Garcia

Devyn Garcia will also make her Victoria's Secret Fashion Show debut in October 2024. The model appeared in campaigns for Nordstrom and H&M.

Tyra Banks

Tyra Banks has been a model in nine Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows, the last of which was in 2005. She was also a Victoria's Secret Angel from 1997 to 2005.

Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid has appeared in three Victoria's Secret fashion shows, including the 2023 tour as well as the 2015, 2016 and 2018 shows. She has also modeled for fashion houses such as Fendi, Versace, Valentino and more.

During backstage preparations before the show, Jasmine Tookes, Paloma Elsesser, Barbara Palvin and Ashley Graham posed together in gowns.

Additional cast additions will be announced prior to the show in October.

What's different about the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2024?

“We have been reading the comments and listening to you,” reads a post on the company’s official Instagram account published last May. “The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is back and will reflect who we are today and everything you know and love – glamour, runway, wings, musical entertainment and more.” Stay tuned… it only gets more iconic from here .”

The last Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was held in 2018 and featured Victoria's Secret Angels as well as musical performances from Shawn Mendes, Rita Ora, The Chainsmokers, Bebe Rexha, Halsey, Leela James, Kelsea Ballerini and The Struts. The 2019 show was canceled after the company was “plagued with allegations of workplace toxicity amid the burgeoning #MeToo movement,” WWD previously reported.

In 2023, Victoria's Secret returned to the big screen with The Victoria's Secret World Tour, available on the streaming platform Amazon Prime. Raúl Martinez, executive vice president and head creative director at Victoria's Secret, told WWD that the film is “the ultimate expression of Victoria's Secret's brand transformation.”

In a joint interview in July, Chief Design and Creative Officer Janie Schaffer and Executive Vice President of Marketing Sarah Sylvester discussed their plans for the return of the Victoria's Secret fashion show in 2024.

“We have developed a lot as a company in the last three years and have really changed enormously. We’re very happy with where we’ve gotten to as a brand and feel very confident,” said Schaffer. “This is truly a celebration of everything we have done. Believe me, we have such great fans out there that there is an element where people say, “You bring it back exactly the way it was before.” Bring back the exact same models and don't change anything! '” she added.

Schaffer joined the Victoria's Secret team in 2008, left in 2012 and returned to the company in 2020.
