Cooler/colder temperatures are on the way for the middle of the work week

Temperatures will fall even further below average in the middle of the work weekas at least some cities may not even reach 60° Wednesday!

The winds and cloudier skies moving across the Mid-South will create a cool/cold atmosphere Wednesday of the weather that spills in Thursday. Thursday morning will be the coldest morning of this stretch as many cities will start in the mid to upper 30s, although the city of Memphis will likely “just” slip into 40°. Light winds and clear skies really contribute to our temperatures becoming so cool.

Temperatures will be high in the afternoon Thursday will warm to the mid to upper 60s under sunny skies. That will probably be the pick for the next seven days, but if you like warmer temperatures you'll like this Friday, Saturday, Sunday And start next weekto!! During this period, temperatures will gradually warm weekend itself will be in the mid-70s around the Mid-South with sunny skies again. The upper 70s and lower 80s will reappear start next weekso that over time there will really be something for everyone next seven days!

If you're looking for some rain, you're the person who won't get what you want over time next week. The possibility of seeing rain is essentially non-existent next seven daysand although the chance of rain is very low Wednesday, October 23rdit's nothing to really get upset about. While I don't think October will be rainless in the Mid-South, the chances of that happening are not zero.

Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning: The clouds are gradually clearing. Lows in the lower 40s with a mixed upper 30s.

Wednesday: Sunny sky. Highs will be in the low 60s, even in the upper 50s in rural areas.

Wednesday evening/Thursday morning: Clear sky. Lows will generally be in the mid to upper 30s, but city centers will be in the lower 40s.

Thursday: Sunny sky. Highs will be in the mid to low 60s.

Over and beyond: Temperatures will gradually warm up day by day weekendMid 70s will be the afternoon high with mostly sunny to sunny skies. Some upper 70s and lower 80s will be back next weekand mostly sunny to sunny skies will continue. Overnight lows will be coldest Wednesday evening (October 16th) to Thursday morning (October 17th)in which these will also gradually warm up. Dry conditions are expected to prevail over the next week, however there is a VERY small chance of light showers Wednesday, October 23rd.
