Former 'Bachelorette' star claims he pretended to be transgender as 'social experiment'

Former “Bachelorette” contestant Josh Seiter claimed in a new interview that he pretended to be a transgender woman online as part of a social experiment to “expose how gullible and delusional the left is.”

Seiter originally came out as a transgender woman in May 2024 and was greeted with a series of death threats that he claimed made him “fear for my safety all the time.”

During his seemingly fake journey, he notably claimed that he believed people “don't have to take anything to be a trans woman,” including hormones or elective surgeries.

The last five months of his life apparently served to highlight how “gullible and delusional the left is,” he said on the BlazeTV podcast “Prime Time with Alex Stein.”

“I think a lot of trans women are excited by the idea of being women. Guess what? It doesn’t magically turn them into women,” said Seiter.

“We live in a free country, you can do whatever you want. But don't make your fetish my truth. I don’t have to accept it.”

When he launched his so-called social experiment earlier this year, he said he faced “intolerance, bigotry and gatekeeping” from all sides, including from transgender people and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

He began the interview with a full face of makeup and a scarf in the colors of the transgender flag. He had one of the staff working on the show come and wipe off his makeup, then he revealed his fraud on camera.

“I pretended to be a counterfeiter. I acted like I was a pretender,” said Seiter.

“We are all the same, we are all men who put on makeup and dress and claim we are women, and I hope this can help some people understand that you don't magically become a man just because you are “Wear clothes and makeup as a man.” a woman.”

The “Bachelorette” alum's alleged ploy ran deep, as he made it his mission to convince the country that he was transgender. He managed to fool both sides of the political spectrum and even reached out to conservative commentators like Megyn Kelly.

He claimed that he believed he was different from a young age and often dressed in his mother's clothes and experimented with her makeup when she wasn't looking. Previously, he spoke about the difficulties of accepting oneself while growing up in a strict conservative Christian household.

Seiter equated being transgender with chronic mental illnesses such as schizophrenia. According to the American Psychiatric Association, neither gender dysphoria nor gender nonconforming expressions such as being transgender are considered mental disorders.

He also claimed that during the alleged social experiment he noticed that the left felt the need to “ingratiate themselves” by aligning themselves with what was most current on their side, even if they disagreed with it.

Pager came out as pansexual in January 2021 and as bisexual later in 2023, although he did not address this in his interview with Stein.
