My presidency will be different from Biden’s

My presidency will be different from Biden’s

In an interview with Fox News host Bret Baier, Vice President Kamala Harris said she is not running for president to succeed her predecessor.

Harris made the claim after Baier filmed clips of Harris answering questions from previous interviewers about what would change under her administration. In one clip, when asked what she might have done differently than Biden over the last four years, she responds: “I can't think of anything, and I was involved in most of the decisions that had an impact.” In another, she emphasizes that she is “not Joe Biden” but also “not Donald Trump”.

“So you’re not Joe Biden, you’re not Donald Trump, but you can’t think of anything you would do differently?” Baier asked.

She responded: “Let me be clear: my presidency will not be a continuation of Joe Biden’s presidency. Like every new president who takes office, I will bring my life experiences, my professional experiences, and fresh and new ideas. I represent a new generation of leaders.”

“I, for example, am someone who hasn’t spent most of my career in Washington, DC,” Harris continued. “I invite ideas, whether from the Republicans who support me, who were on the stage with me just a few minutes ago, or from business and others who can contribute to the decisions I make.”

Harris was referring to a campaign event she held immediately before her conversation with Baier on Wednesday, where she met with Republican supporters at Washington Crossing. This event, as well as the Baier interview, is consistent with a current strategy by her campaign to reach out to right-leaning voters who may not support Donald Trump.

Among the topics Harris said she was inviting input on were her “plan to increase housing supply in America and reduce housing costs” and “solving the small business problem, which is all about working with the private sector.” to work together to raise more capital.” and access to capital for our small business owners.”

She's also made a number of other unexpected media appearances recently. Before speaking to Baier, she was interviewed by Charlamagne Tha God at a Detroit town hall recorded for “The Breakfast Club,” and earlier this month, Harris was a guest on Alex Cooper's “Call Her Daddy,” Spotify's most popular podcast a woman.
