Hollywood is reeling Following the shocking death of One Direction's Liam Payne, celebrities paid tribute to the singer on social media on Wednesday. Payne, 31, died Wednesday evening after falling from a hotel room in Argentina.

Charlie Puth, Paris Hilton and Ty Dolla $ign were among the stars who mourned Payne's death on Wednesday.

“I'm in shock right now, Liam has always been so nice to me,” Puth wrote in an Instagram Story on Wednesday, in which he also shared several photos and videos of the two artists together. “He was one of the first great artists I had the opportunity to work with. I can't believe he's gone. I’m so upset right now, may he rest in peace.”

Ty Dolla $ign also took to his Instagram Stories and shared photos and videos of Payne. “I just spoke to you two days ago my man,” Ty wrote. “I miss you, frfr sucio.”

“So disturbing to hear the news of Liam Payne’s death,” Hilton wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “I send love and condolences to his family and loved ones. RIP my friend.”

German DJ Zedd, who collaborated with Payne on the 2017 single “Get Low,” wrote on X that he “can't believe this is real.” “Absolutely heartbreaking,” he said.

“Life is short and fragile… You never know what people are going through,” Zedd wrote in a separate tweet. “We live in times where it is normal to be rude, divisive and mean. sometimes even celebrated. It doesn't have to be that way. We should do our best to be kind, supportive and mindful.”

Corbyn Besson of boy band Why Don't We said on X that the news had left him “speechless”. “I became very interested in 1D during the WDW days,” he wrote. “You really never know when it’s time to go. Remind your friends/family that you love them today and every day.”
