Preseason summary: Portland Trail Blazers beat Ratiopharm Ulm 111-100

The undermanned Portland Trail Blazers got a second-half scare and took care of business in tonight's preseason contest against a Ratiopharm Ulm team, 111-100. The team from Germany rallied from a 20-point deficit in the second half, but the Blazers never relinquished the lead and pulled away late to win the second of their first three preseason games.

The Blazers had a full starting lineup of inactives tonight, including Shaedon Sharpe (shoulder) and Robert Williams III (hamstring). Anfernee Simons (ankle), Jerami Grant (rest) and Jabari Walker (right ankle pain) and Matisse Thybulle (ankle pain).

Player of the Match: Scoot Henderson. Portland's 2023 draft pick enjoyed picking his spots, shooting 10-14 for 23 points, with 6 assists, 4 rebounds and zero turnovers. While it wasn't against NBA competition, it was a reminder of Portland's hopes when they made the choice.

Seven players in double figures. Scoots co-starters Rayan Rupert (11), Deni Avdija (18) and Deandre Ayton (13) all scored in double figures, as did substitutes Kris Murray (14) and Dalano Banton (11). Toumari Camara recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds with 4 assists.
