Harrowing 911 call from a desperate hotel manager details Liam Payne's final moments alive

A recently released 911 call detailed the frightening moments that led to One Direction star Liam Payne's fatal fall from a hotel balcony in Argentina.

A distraught manager at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires pleaded with law enforcement and asked for “urgent” help. He claimed the runaway singer had “put his life at risk.”

“Hello good morning. I just called and my line was disconnected. I'm calling (from) the CasaSur Hotel in Palermo, Costa Rica, 6032,” the manager can be heard saying in Spanish in an audio recording obtained by The Sun UK and La Nacion say.

“What happened, sir?” replied the operator.

The manager, “Esteban,” claimed that Payne trashed his hotel room and was under the influence of “drugs and alcohol.”

“Well, we have a guest who is drunk on drugs and alcohol. And, well, he's… When he's conscious, he sets the whole room in turmoil. And, well, you have to send someone, please,” pleaded the desperate manager.

They discussed the hotel's situation and the manager insisted: “You have to send someone urgently because I don't know if this guest's life is in danger.” They must be in a room that has a balcony. And well, we're a little bit afraid that he'll do something and endanger his life.”

“How long has this existed or is it a residential hotel?” asked the operator.

“No, no, he’s been there two or three days,” the manager said.

“Resources” were dispatched at 5:04 p.m. and emergency services were requested after police were informed of a fall at around 5:07 p.m., La Nacion reported.

Payne died at the scene, and authorities said, “There was no way to revive him.” Payne's body was placed in an ambulance, which drove away with a police escort.

It is not clear whether Payne's death was intentional or accidental, but Buenos Aires Security Ministry representative Pablo Policicchio said the musician “threw himself from the balcony of his room.”

Eyewitnesses at the hotel told TMZ that Payne was “acting erratically” in the hotel lobby shortly before the 31-year-old hitmaker fell from the hotel's third-floor balcony.

The pop star reportedly smashed his laptop in the lobby and had to be carried to his room.

An insider told Page Six that “Liam has been going through bouts of ruinous behavior for a long time,” adding that “his demons were much worse than he let on.”

Shortly before his death, Payne claimed in a now-deleted Snapchat story that he had spent a “beautiful day in Argentina” while vacationing with girlfriend Kate Cassidy.

Cassidy flew back to Miami on Monday – two days before the tragedy.

The couple were in Argentina on October 2 to see their former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan perform, but ended up staying later than originally planned.
