INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Temperatures should be nearly 10° above average through the weekend.

This morning:

A frost warning remains in force until mid-morning as temperatures fell into the low 30s across much of the state this morning amid clear skies and calm winds.

Thursday:

At the tail end of a high pressure area, we will see a warming trend that will allow for more southerly winds. High temperatures are expected to return to the lower 60s, still below average but much closer to where we should be for this time of year.

Thursday evening:

Another quiet and cool night. Lows will fall into the mid and upper 30s, which should be cold enough for another round of patchy frost outside the metro area.

Friday:

The nice weather will continue on Friday with temperatures returning to normal. As you wrap up the work week, you can expect lots of sunshine and high temperatures into the mid to upper 60s.

This weekend:

Quiet with pleasant weather on the weekend. Look for high temperatures in the low 70s Saturday and mid 70s Sunday, about 10° above average for this time of year.

7 day forecast:

Very warm temperatures will continue into the new work week, with very limited rain chances expected on Tuesday and Wednesday.

While the next seven days appear to be dry, there may be hope for needed rainfall across the region in the next 8 to 14 days. Our temperature trend looks set to remain well above average until the end of the month.
