Oklahoma High School Football Computer Rankings (10/7/2024)

Week 6 of the 2024 Oklahoma high school football season is almost upon us and High School on SI has released its third in-state computer rankings of the season.

The Owasso Rams retain the No. 1 spot in the Class 6A-I computer rankings at 5-0. The Deer Creek Antlers land in second place after a strong offensive performance against Edmond.

A quick look at the Class 6A-II rankings shows Muskogee in first place. This came after a dominant 51-point win over Putnam City West. Rounding out the top three are the Stillwater Pioneers at No. 2 and the Choctaw Yellowjackets at No. 3.

SBLive's formula was created using the linear algebra-based ranking algorithm inspired by the Colley Bias-Free Ranking method. Colley's method was developed by Wes Colley, Ph.D., an astrophysicist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He developed his algorithm to address the subjectivity and controversy surrounding BCS college football selection in the 1990s and early 2000s using a method that did not use subjective variables.
