The former Pro Bowl QB was arrested and spent part of the night in jail

Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler was in a Tennessee prison Thursday after being arrested on drunk driving and weapons charges, TMZ reported.

According to the report, the former Pro Bowler was arrested Thursday night in Franklin, Tennessee, on charges of drunk driving, failure to exercise due care, violating the implied consent law and possession of a handgun under the influence.

He was booked into the Williamson County Jail.

A representative from the Franklin Police Department told TMZ that Cutler posted $5,000 bail and was released later that night. No further details have been announced at this time.

Cutler spent the majority of his NFL career with the Chicago Bears. He was selected by the Denver Broncos with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft and was traded to the Bears in 2009.

He played for the Miami Dolphins in 2017 before retiring. Over the course of his 12 seasons, Cutler amassed 35,133 passing yards.

Cutler was married to reality star Kristin Cavallari for almost a decade. Their divorce was finalized in 2022. He starred in Cavallari's reality show ” Very Cavallari during its three-year run.
