West Indies Women 49/3 in 10.1 overs | West Indies vs New Zealand Live Score, Women's World Cup 2nd Semi-Final: Eden Carson's hat-trick puts New Zealand on top

West Indies vs New Zealand Live Score, Semi-Final 2 Women's T20 World Cup: New Zealand and West Indies, both considered underdogs, exceeded expectations by beating the favorites in their respective groups and are now locked in one decisive semi-final game.

The winner secures a place in the final, a stage New Zealand has not reached since finishing runners-up in 2009 and 2010, while the West Indies' only appearance in a final in 2016 was by winning the title.

Notably, West Indies beat New Zealand in the 2016 semi-final, which provided additional motivation for the White Ferns to reverse that result and bid a ceremonial farewell to their senior players. Likewise, the West Indies will look to give their own departing veterans a befitting farewell.

New Zealand demonstrated their careful planning and execution in their opening game against India, using tactics and match-ups developed over a year ago.

Despite a setback against Australia, they quickly regrouped, defeated Sri Lanka and secured a decisive win against Pakistan to advance to the semi-finals.

West Indies, on the other hand, got off to a rocky start and suffered a 10-wicket defeat against South Africa in the first game. However, they managed a remarkable comeback and secured three consecutive wins.

After comfortably defeating Scotland and Bangladesh, they faced a daunting task against England, a team they had not beaten in T20Is since 2019 and who were on a 13-match losing streak.

Undeterred, the West Indies approached the game with “a lot of heart and a lot of fight,” eventually prevailing and securing their place in the next round.
