Peter Dinklage knows how to rock.

The Game of Thrones alum proved as much during his appearance on Hot Ones this week after host Sean Evans asked if he sustained an injury during his time in a “punk-funk-rap” group called Whizzy have.

Dinklage confirmed that he still had a scar from being “kneeled in the head” during a performance at the former New York music club CBGB in the early 1990s.

“Just try to define me, man,” the “Station Agent” actor said.

Dinklage, 55, was ready to live the “starving artist” lifestyle.

“I used to think, ‘I’m not going to be an actor. I'm not going to do any silly commercials or anything like that. I'm going to do plays that I'm in downtown with no money.' “I'm going to throw up in front of the audience. And I’m going to be in a punk band,” he said.

The band's performances were pretty punk, said Dinklage.

“We were Beastie Boys rip-offs, and yeah, we had fun. And that took a few years. I have a cool scar on my temple. Head wounds bleed profusely,” he added. “So I puke on the audience and I bleed on the audience. It’s a very emotional experience if you want to see me live.”

The anti-acting stance didn't benefit the actor, who Evans says is close to 100 credits. However, Dinklage said it took him some time to stop harboring resentment against the entertainment industry over its portrayal of little people.

“I think I was too angry for a long time,” Dinklage said. “I just knew what the entertainment industry offered to people my size, and that wasn’t acting for me.”

But he added: “I surrounded myself with really brilliant people. I couldn't do it alone. And that’s the beauty of what I do for a living, is collaboration.”
