Suspected drug shooting in Texas leaves three people injured in Arlington – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Police believe drugs may have been involved in the shooting. On Sunday, three people were injured in North Arlington while the gunman was on the run.

Arlington police said officers were called to a shooting at an apartment complex at the intersection of Lincoln Drive and Washington Drive on Sunday evening around 7:50 p.m

When police arrived, a 17-year-old woman was found injured in a vacant apartment and an injured 19-year-old man was found in the neighboring apartment. A second injured 19-year-old man was found in a vehicle parked in front of the building. All three suffered apparent gunshot wounds, police said.

Arlington police investigators said they believe the shooting occurred in the vacant apartment where the woman was found and that the two victims found in the apartments were related. Her connection to the third victim found in the car was unclear.

All three victims were transported to a hospital. Police said the woman found in the apartment and the man found in the car were in critical condition and that the man found in the other apartment had non-life-threatening injuries.

The identities of the victims were not released.

Police did not provide further details about the motive, but said they believe “high-risk drug activity may be involved.” Investigators have not announced any arrests or publicly identified any suspects.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
